RUSSIA
The average consumer price for sugar has reached RUR 56.33 per 1 kg in July 2016, which is RUR 2.46 higher compared to average price a month ago, according to Rosstat.

JSC "Chishminsky sugar factory" has decreased net profit 2.7 times to RUR 52.46 million under RAS in January-June compared to RUR 144.13 mln in January-June 2015. The volume of 83.80% (or 97.92% of company shares) of the share capital of the company (which is equal to RUR 47,480,000) is owned by the British "Detare business ltd" (British Virgin Islands).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture data as of August 16, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 25,5 thousand hectares or 2.3% of the total acreage (in 2015 the progress was 2,5 thousand ha). Collected 1.161 million tons of beets (in 2015 – 105.6 thousand tons) with average yield of 45.47 MT/ha (in 2015 – 42.24 MT/ha).
