RUSSIA
According to the Federal Customs Service data, the volume of raw sugar import in June 2016 has made 6 200 tons. In 2016 (January-June) the import of raw sugar has made 195 000 MT (compared to 456 400 MT imported in January - June 2015).
Import of white sugar amounted to 29 thousand tons in June; thus in January – June – 161 600 tons (cf. 135 700 tons imported in January - June 2015).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of August 12, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 18 900 ha (in Krasnodar, Orel, Lipetsk and Rostov regions), or 1.7% of the total acreage (in 2015 - 0,9 thousand ha ). Volume of beet collected makes 870.0 thousand tons (in 2015 - 39.6 thousand tons) with the average yield of 46.03 MT/ha (in 2015 – 44.00 MT/ha).

As of August 15, total 16 sugar mills in Krasnodar region continue to accept beet with 1 064 000 tons of sugar beet received as of date indicated. Of this volume total 916 000 tons of beet were processed and 101 500 tons of beet sugar and 24 400 tons of dried pulp produced. In the season–2016 the region drafts to procure and process 10 million tons of sugar beets.

According Soyuzrossakhar, sugar beet development progress is as follows as of August 11, 2016:
- Beet weight - 417 grams (in 2015 - 411 g; in 2014 - 412 g);
- Topper weight - 324 grams (in 2015 - 385 g; in 2014 - 326 g);
- Sucrose content – 14.39% (in 2015 - 14.43%, in 2014 - 15.88%).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the Ministry of Economy, the average retail price of sugar was in the range 55-56 Kyrgyz soms per 1 kg in the markets of Bishkek in the period August 4 – 11, 2016 (around RUR 51.39-52.32/kg at the current rate of the CBR).
UKRAINE
Dynamics of sugar beet development in Ukraine as of August 10, 2016, according to Ukrtsukor:
- Beet weight - 395 g;
- Topper weight -340 g
- Sucrose content - 15.2%;
- Plant density - 101 000 units per 1 ha.
