RUSSIA

According Soyuzrossakhar, 5 sugar factories in Krasnodar region are processing sugar beet, as of July 28, namely: Gulkevichsky, Dinskoy, Leningradsky, Tbilissky and Novokubansky. Beet collection points at sugar plants have received 37,700 tons of sugar beets including 21,400 tons processed to date with the first 233 tons of sugar produced.

Penza region plans to collect 1.7 mln. MT of sugar beets this season, announced Andrey Burlakov, Minister of agriculture of the region.

Russia has exported 29,900 tons of molasses to countries outside the Customs Union in June 2016. By the end of 6 months, the export of molasses from Russia has made 175 400 tons (in 2015 - 116.3 thousand tons; in 2014 - 317.8 thousand tons). The largest exporters of molasses in 6 months are: "TD Metelitsa" (28.68%) and LLC "Agrosystems" (25.34%).

Russia has exported 9 800 tons of pulp to countries outside the Customs Union in June 2016. By the end of 6 months the volume pulp export from Russia has reached 285 900 tons (in 2015 - 222.2 thousand tons, in 2014 - 244.8 thousand tons). The largest exporters of pulp in 6 months are the companies "Torgovyy Dom "Sodruzhestvo" (13.43%) and LLC "Veles-Agro" (7.86%).

UKRAINE

The domestic sugar consumption is estimated at 1.387 million tons for 10 months of the current 2015/2016 Marketing Year, according to "Economic discussion club". Exports for the period amounted to 73 thousand tons, imports - 47 thousand tons. Sugar stocks in the country are estimated at 520 thousand tons as of July 1, 2016, which is 36% less than on the corresponding date last year.

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine have traded 42 300 tons of sugar in June, which is 62.6% more than in May 2016, reported State Statistics Committee. In January-June the agricultural enterprises have sold total 155.5 thousand tons of sugar.

ARMENIA

In June 2016 Armenia has imported 13 700 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) for total customs value of US$ 5,388,000; other imports include 225 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) valued at US$ 120 000; and 1 083 tons of molasses (HS code 1703) for total US$189 500, the statistic committee of Armenia reports.
