According to Soyuzrossahar, as of December 24, 2021, about 20 sugar factories, mainly located in the Central Federal District, continue to operate. The sugar beet harvest has been completed in all beet-growing regions. 40.9 million tons of sugar beet have been collected, including 35.1 million tons of sugar beet processed with 5.0 million tons of beet sugar produced.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the price white beet sugar from industrial producers was 45.20 rubles / kg as of December 22, 2021 (+0.9% per week).

KAZAKHSTAN

As of December 20, sugar factories procured 238.0 thousand tons of sugar beet, including 204.0 thousand tons of sugar beet processed and produced 22.6 thousand tons of beet sugar.

UKRAINE

According to Statcom, in January-October 2021, the total sales volume of sugar produced in the country amounted to UAH 13,823.9 million, excluding VAT and excise tax (37375.67 million rubles at the average rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for 2021).

By December 24, 2021 Ukraine has produced 1285.7 thousand tons of sugar out of 9.07 million tons of sugar beet processed, Ukrtsukor reports.

BELARUS

According to Belsakhar, as of December 20, 2021, sugar companies of the republic have procured 3703.1 thousand tons of sugar beet since the beginning of the season, have processed 3410.8 thousand tons, and produced 427.1 thousand tons of white sugar. In connection with the expectation of a smaller volume of sugar production in the 2021/22 season, sugar factories of Belarus temporarily suspend sugar shipments to the EAEU countries in order to provide priority to the domestic market.

KYRGYZSTAN

As of December 20, the country has harvested 410.4 thousand tons of sugar beet from  9800 ha. Sugar factories procured 238.0 thousand tons of sugar beet, including 204.0 thousand tons of sugar beet processed and produced 22.6 thousand tons of beet sugar.
