KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consumer prices for sugar in Kazakhstan have grown by 0.8% in November 2021, compared to the previous month. Since the beginning of the year (by December 2020), consumer prices for sugar have increased by 15.6%, and on an annualized basis (by November 2020) - by 18.5%.

The National Project "Healthy Nation", which assumes introduction of excise taxes on sugar-sweetened drinks, was approved by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. When introduced in 2023, the excise tax will be 20%, and by 2025 it will increase to 45%.
UKRAINE
For 10 months of 2021, Ukrainian agrarians have sold 493.6 thousand tons of sugar, which is 15.6% less than in 10 months of 2020. Sugar was sold at an average price of UAH 17018/MT ($ 624/MT, or RUR46.1/kg, excluding VAT, transport, forwarding costs). Prices are 77.2% higher than last year.
