RUSSIA

The Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev said at a government meeting, it is planned to produce about 39.6 million tons of sugar beet this year, that is, 5.7 million tons more than last year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of October 28, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 851.8 thousand hectares; bulk harvest makes 33.4 million tons.

UKRAINE

As Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, as of October 28, 2021, 7756.2 thousand tons of sugar beet were harvested from 72.7% of the crop acreage; the average yield is 47.11 MT/ha).

AZERBAIJAN

Azerbaijan's customs service has informed Sugar.Ru that in the second quarter of 2021, Azerbaijan has exported 19,000 tons of white sugar. The major share of exports – 14.2 thousand tons – was supplied to Turkmenistan, and 2.8 thousand tons to Kyrgyzstan. Raw sugar imports in the second quarter amounted to 104 thousand tons, including 81 thousand tons from Brazil and 21 thousand tons from Mexico.
