RUSSIA

On October 25, 2021, 2 sugar contracts were sold at NTB and BSP. The total volume of sales has made 200 MT (NTB - 100 tn and BSP - 100 tn) at the average price of RUR 45050/MT (US$635,74/MT at the exchange rate of CBR on date indicated). Trading session closed at $636.45/MT (CFO).

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of October 25, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 807.5 thousand hectares; bulk harvest makes 31.5 million tons.

In Mordovia, as of October 25, 2021, 22,226 hectares of sugar beets were harvested (100% of total crop acreage); bulk volume collected makes 765,243 tons; average regional yield is 34.43 MT/ha, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.

A rich harvest of sugar beets has grown in Turkmenistan, the state newspaper “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age” reports. This year, 14,900 hectares of land have been sown with beets. The Marisheker sugar factory (the only one in the country) is planning to receive 224,000 tons of beet this year.

BELARUS

In Belarus, as of October 26, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 55.2 thousand hectares or 65.2% of the area sown (in 2020 - 56.0 thousand hectares), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus told Sugar.Ru. Total volume of beet collected makes 2569.6 thousand tons (in 2020 - 2604.3 thousand tons); average yield is 46.52 MT/ha (in 2020 – 46.51 MT/ha). In 2021, the sugar beet acreage in Belarus is 84.7 thousand hectares (in 2020 - 82.4 thousand hectares).
