RUSSIA
The harvesting of sugar beets is nearing completion in the Altai Territory, the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports. It remains to harvest the sugar beet from 400 hectares. The work will be completed within one to two days. The outcome of the campaign will be 1.1 million tons of sugar beets collected.
UKRAINE
Astarta-Kiev holding reduced sugar sales by 18% (to 204 thousand tons) in the third quarter of 2021; the average sugar prices in the reporting period increased by 73% to UAH 17.6 thousand/ ton (RUR 47.52 thousand/ton at the current exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
KAZAKHSTAN
Harvesting of sugar beets began in the southern part of Kazakhstan. Farmers have collected 6 707.7 tons of beets from 148.4 hectares; the average yield makes 45.2 MT/ha. The reception points of the Taraz and Merken sugar factories received 6343.5 tons of sugar beet. The Taraz sugar plant received 312 tons of raw materials, the Merke - 6031.5 tons.
