RUSSIA

As of September 17, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 9.4 thousand hectares, or 30.7% of the plan in the Stavropol Territory; the gross harvest amounted to 500.1 thousand tons, with an average yield of 53.27 MT/ha. JSC "Stavropolsakhar" received 138.7 thousand tons of raw beet for processing including 120.8 thousand tons processed as of report date; production yield amounted to 14.1%.

In the Penza region, the gross harvest of sugar beet is over 220 thousand tons as of September 19, 2020. 16 thousand tons of sugar have been produced.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of September 17, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 189.9 thousand hectares; 7.1 million tons collected.

UKRAINE

As of September 17, 2021 10.6 thousand hectares were harvested (5% of national acreage in Ukraine), 506 thousand tons of beets collected; average yield makes 47.74 MT/ha. By September 20, 2021, the country has produced 74.9 thousand tons of sugar and processed 629.8 thousand tons of sugar beet, Ukrtsukor reports.

In the Vinnytsia region, four out of six sugar factories started sugar beet processing season. As of September 17, 2021, 165.8 thousand tons of beets were accepted for processing, 133.6 thousand tons processed, and 19.8 thousand tons of sugar produced.
