Sugar beet harvesting in Russia as of Sept 13, 2021

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of September 10, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 114.9 thousand hectares, 4.5 million tons of beet collected.

In Tatarstan, as of September 13, 10.2 thousand hectares or 20% of the plan (51.1 thousand hectares) were harvested, 206.1 thousand tons of beet collected (last year as of the same date - 328.3 thousand hectares), average yield makes 20.11 MT/ ha (last year on the same date – 41.25 MT/ha), according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture. 

In the Ulyanovsk region, sugar beets have been harvested from 513 hectares, which is 5% of the plan. The average yield is 26.7 tons from hectare. 

By September 13, the beet-growing farms of the Altai Territory have collected sugar beets from 15% of the crop acreage. From more than 3.5 thousand hectares, 157 thousand tons of beets received, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture. 

In the Stavropol Territory by September 10, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 6.2 thousand hectares, or 20.3% of the plan, the gross harvest amounted to 326.9 thousand tons, with an average yield of 52.72 MT/ha.
