The Chishminsky sugar plant estimates the costs of the enterprise reconstruction project at RUR 1.663 billion to increase the average daily processing capacity on beet to 6 thousand tons, according to the company news.

The price of refined beet sugar from industrial producers as of May 19, 2021, was RUR 36.04/kg (unchanged from the previous week), according to the Food Safety Monitoring and Forecasting System of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
KAZAKHSTAN
The Ministry of Agriculture has developed a draft resolution, according to which the tariff concession will be set for white sugar (code 1701 99 100 EAEU HS code), intended exclusively for the production of sugar-containing products, and raw cane sugar (codes 1701 13, 1701 14 EAEU HS code), intended for industrial processing. The aggregate volume of no more than 134 400 tons, will be imported tax exempt for domestic consumption on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
