Kyrgyzstan will introduce temporary state regulation of prices for sugar and vegetable oil, said First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov.

The State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation of Kyrgyzstan continues to regulate sugar prices. Today, OJSC "Kaindy Kant" sells sugar at the price of 54 som/kg (RUR 47.71/kg) to each of the four retail chains, signees to the Agreement on price containment. The agreement is valid until June 1. The plant is ready to roll over this Agreement. For other consumers, the plant has reduced the price per kilogram from 60 soms (RUR 53.01) to 57 soms (RUR 50.36) and currently down to 55.5 soms (RUR 49.04).
