The volume of refined beet sugar produced in the Russian Federation has made 200.8 thousand tons in January 2021, which is 62.7% less than in January 2020, and 69.5% less than in December 2020, Rosstat reports.

According to Soyuzrossahar data as of February 15, 2021, the country has produced 5.01 million tons of sugar from beets of harvested in 2020 season. The expected sugar production in the 2020-21 season, taking into account sugar produced from molasses, syrup, stored and substandard sugar, will make 5180 thousand tons.
