RUSSIA
Agrarians of Krasnodar have collected 1.2 million tons of sugar beet by August 26, 2020. More than 130 thousand tons of sugar have been produced, the Krasnodar Territory Administration reports. This year it is planned to process about 9.4 million tons of sugar beet and get about 1.2 million tons of the commodity total.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of August 25, 2020, sugar beets were harvested from 30.2 thousand hectares, or 3.3% of the area sown; 1.2 million tons of beet collected; average yield makes 41.14 MT/ha.
UKRAINE
As of August 17, 2020, Ukrainian agricultural producers fully used the tariff quota for the export of a number of agricultural products to the EU, including sugar.
