RUSSIA
According to the analytical service of NO "Soyuzrossakhar", as of August 1, the beet weight has made 300 g average in Russia, which is 14% and 3% lower than the figures for 2019 and 2018 respectively, the tops weight was 261 g (in 2019 – 280g, in 2018 – 293g), the sucrose content has averaged 15.18% (in 2019 - 13.89% and in 2018 - 12.37%), the press service of Soyuzrossahar reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of August 4, 2020, sugar beet (Krasnodar Territory) was harvested from 1.0 thousand hectares, 46.5 thousand tons collected at an average a yield of 46.50 MT/ha.
UKRAINE
According to the analysis of data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in January-June 2020, the total sales of sugar produced in the country amounted to UAH 4619.1 million, excluding VAT and excise (RUR 12,260.56 million at the average rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for 2020). Of which, the volume of sugar sold outside the country amounted to UAH 251.2 million (about RUR 667 million), which is 5.4% of the total sales.
