Beet sugar production in Russia amounted to 52.4 thousand tons in June 2020, which is 60.3% less than in May 2020, but by 90% more than in June 2019, Rosstat reports.

The current price situation in the sugar market and high rates of its export from Russia do not create preconditions for concluding export agreements between market participants, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.
MOLDOVA
Following the agreement reached between the President of Moldova Igor Dodon and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kiku managed to unblock the export of agricultural products to the Russian market, including sugar, the Moldovan press reports.
