As of April 3, 2020, sugar beets were sown on an area of 20.8 thousand ha in the Stavropol region, which makes 91% of the plan of 22.9 thousand ha. Last year 7.7 thousand ha were sown to this date, 24% of the plan of 32.1 thousand ha.

April 3, 2020, sowing of sugar beet sowing campaign is ongoing in several Russian regions in the Central, Southern and North Caucasian federal districts/ Total acreage sown has made 206.8 thousand ha, or 19.1% of the forecast (in 2019 - 79.4 thousand ha).
