Andrey Bodin, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia, believes that the detention of the leadership of Belarusian plants will not affect the sugar trade between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the wholesale price (including VAT) for sugar in the Southern Federal District for the week did not change from RUR 20.74/kg as of January 28, 2020. Prices from industrial producers make RUR 20.54 per 1 kg of refined beet sugar, as of January 30, 2020.
