RUSSIA
As of November 8, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 1.09 million ha, or 94.8% of the crop (in 2018 - 1.08 million ha), 50.7 million tons of beet collected (in 2018 – 40, 1 million tons) with a yield of 46.69 MT/ha (in 2018 – 37.23 MT/ha).
BELARUS
By November 11, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 92.4 thousand hectares or 99.2% of the area sown (in 2018 - 98.5 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 4767.6 thousand MT (in 2018 - 4735.1 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 51.57 MT/ha (in 2018 – 48.09 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet in the republic is 16.84% versus 16.95% for the same date last year.
