BELARUS
By October 8, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 45.5 thousand hectares or 48.5% of the area sown (in 2018 - 45.8 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 2116.2 thousand MT (in 2018 - 1991.8 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 46.5 MT/ha (in 2018 – 43.54 MT/ha). The sugar content in beet in the republic is 16.55% versus 16.44% for the same date last year.
ARMENIA
According to the analysis of Statkom of Armenia, conducted by Sugar.Ru, production of sugar increased over the month by 27.23% in August 2019 and has made 14.9 thousand tons (in previous month - 11.7 thousand tons, in August 2018 - 5.4 thousand tons, in August 2017 - 0.0 thousand tons). Total 60 thousand tons of sugar have been produced in January-August 2019 (in January-August 2018 - 58 thousand tons).
AZERBAIJAN
In 2019 season sugar beets were planted in 25 districts of Azerbaijan at 7 345 hectares. To date, farmers have collected and delivered 72,584.8 tons of sugar beets, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports.
