RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossahar, as of September 10, farms in the Southern, North-Caucasian, Central, Volga and Siberian federal districts continue harvesting sugar beets.
Acreage harvested has made 204.8 thousand ha (17.9% of the crop acreage) with an average yield of 43.3 MT/ha. In 2018 – 187.5 thousand hectares were harvested on this date, with a yield of 34.2 MT/ha.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of September 10, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 206.3 thousand ha or 18% of the crop acreage (in 2018 - 182.7 thousand ha), 8.9 million tons collected ( in 2018 - 6.3 million tons) with a yield of 42.99 MT/ha (in 2018 – 34.27 MT/ha).
UKRAINE
The sugar season in Ukraine began on September 1, 2019 officially, Ukrtsukor reports. Launch of Ukrainian sugar factories in 2019/2020 MY (as of September 9, 2019):
- September 1 - Radekhovsky Sugar LLC (Radekhovsky production);
- September 3 - Radekhovsky Sugar LLC (Khorostkovsky production);
- September 5 - Radekhovsky Sugar LLC (Chertkov Production);
- September 6 - LLC Tsukoragroprom branch of the PP Yareskovsky Sugar Plant,
- September 8 - PJSC "Gorodishche-Pustovarovsky Sugar Plant" ("Hals Agro");
BELARUS
By 11 September, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 11.9 thousand hectares or 12.7% of the area sown (in 2018 - 10 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 533.7 thousand MT (in 2018 - 414.7 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 44.95 MT/ha (in 2018 – 41.43 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 15.79% versus 16.02% for the same date last year.
