RUSSIA

As of September 6, 2019, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 169.5 thousand ha or 14.8% of crop acreage in Russia (in 2018 - 153.4 thousand ha), 7.3 million tons of beets were collected (in 2018 - 5.3 million tons) with a yield of 42.97 MT/ha (in 2018 – 34.25 MT/ha).

The planned revenue of Zainsky Sugar is 5 billion rubles in the new production season. According to the production program, they intend to produce over 162 thousand tons of refined sugar, at least 50 thousand tons of granulated beet pulp -and 38 thousand tons of beet molasses.

BELARUS

By September 9, 2019, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 9.77 thousand hectares or 10.41% of the area sown (in 2018 - 7.86 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 439.8 thousand MT (in 2018 - 323.4 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 45.03 MT/ha (in 2018 – 41.15 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 15.74% versus 15.99% for the same date last year.
