White sugar exports and imports data of Belarus in March 2019 and other sugar news from Russia and Ukraine, June 18, 2019

RUSSIA

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated June 18, 2019, total 24 vessels have been nominated to carry 842944 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 744994 MT from 21 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

BELARUS

According to the Federal Customs Service of Belarus, conducted by Sugar.ru, in March 2019 Belarus has imported 4.3 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar import campaign, Belarus has shipped in 6.7 thousand tons (in 2018 - 14.1 thousand MT; in 2017 - 9.8 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Belarus were RUSSIA (83.38%) and POLAND (79.40%).

In March 2019 Belarus has exported 86.7 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar export campaign, Belarus has shipped out 86.7 thousand tons (in 2018 - 115.5 thousand MT; in 2017 - 102.8 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries importers of white sugar from Belarus were RUSSIA (108.99%) and KAZAKHSTAN (14.62%).

UKRAINE

According to Statkom of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, wholesale price of sugar from producers increased over the month by 1.08% in May 2019 and has made 9223.89 UAH/MT (in previous month - 9125.13 UAH/MT, in May 2018 - 9479.52 UAH/MT). Russian rouble equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 4.44% in May 2019 and has made 23008.81 RUB/MT (in previous month - 22030.89 RUB/MT, in May 2018 - 22374.32 RUB/MT). USD equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 3.19% in May 2019 and has made 352.355 USD/MT (in previous month - 341.474 USD/MT, in May 2018 - 362.229 USD/MT)
