RUSSIA

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, estimated the surplus of sugar production in the 2018/19 season at 300-400 thousand tons. From the beginning of the year the price of sugar decreased by an average of 4 rubles - to 26.5 rubles per kilogram, during the year a further decline to 23 rubles is possible, and Fazrahmanov believes, the export of white sugar will decrease accordingly.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the analysis of Statkom of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, production of sugar and molasses increased over the month by 53.89% in May 2019 and has made 18881.0 tons (in previous month - 12269.0 tons, in May 2018 - 16562.0 tons, in May 2017 - 54694.0 tons). Total 91080 tons of sugar and molasses have been produced in January-May 2019 (in January-May 2018 - 166690 tons).

AZERBAIJAN

According to the data by the customs service of Azerbaijan, processed by Sugar.Ru, exports of sugar and raw sugar amounted to 6.89 thousand tons in May 2019, in just 5 months of 2019 - 16.77 thousand tons (in 2018 - 16.14 thousand tons)

UKRAINE

According to provisional estimations, the average yield of sugar beet in 2019 is projected at 48 MT/ a, the gross harvest of sugar beet is expected to be within 10.7 million tons, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Sugar beet in Ukraine was sown on an area of 221.9 thousand hectares, which is 52.8 thousand hectares less compared to the previous year (in 2018 - 274.7 thousand hectares).
