RUSSIA

According to the May 2019 report, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expects that sugar production in Russia will increase by 280 thousand tons to 6.2 million tons. Export is projected at 305 thousand tons, which is 150 thousand tons more than the previous year. Stocks will not change and will amount to 440 thousand tons.

UKRAINE

According to the May 2019 report by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Ukraine is projected to reduce sugar production by 10.9% to 1.646 million tons, and exports will decline almost twice to 251 thousand tons from 501 thousand tons in the past year.

KYRGYZSTAN

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Land Reclamation forecasts that by 2023 sugar production will increase as much as to cover up to 100% of the country demand, from current level of 74%.

KAZAKHSTAN

By May 24, 2019, sowing of sugar beet in Kazakhstan was performed on an area of 19.5 thousand hectares out of 22.8 thousand hectares planned (in 2018 - 19.4 thousand hectares out of 21.5 thousand hectares), Sugar.ru was informed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
