RUSSIA
According to the System for Monitoring and Forecast of Food Safety at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, prices for beet sugar from industrial producer amounted to 32.14 rubles/kg on May 16, 2019 (-0.4% per week).

According to the operational data of Soyuzrossahar, 1126.0 thousand hectares of sugar beet were sown in the Russian Federation as of May 20 (99.8% of the forecast). In 2018, on same date the acreage sown was 1097.2 thousand hectares.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 21, 2019, total 21 vessels have been nominated to carry 744994 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 717494 MT from 20 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
As of May 20, 2019, sowing of sugar beet in Ukraine was carried out on an area of 220 thousand hectares or 90% of the forecast, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

According to the results of the first quarter of 2019, the Ukrainian agricultural holding Astarta-Kiev suffered a net loss of € 4.43 million compared to a net profit of € 3.7 million in the first quarter of 2018, according to the Warsaw Stock Exchange website.
BELARUS
According to the Federal Customs Service of Belarus, conducted by Sugar.ru, in March 2019 Belarus has imported 4.3 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar import campaign, Belarus has shipped in 6.7 thousand tons (in 2018 - 14.1 thousand MT; in 2017 - 9.8 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Belarus were POLAND (55.70%) and RUSSIA (43.81%).
In March 2019 Belarus has exported 86.7 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar export campaign, Belarus has shipped out 86.7 thousand tons (in 2018 - 115.5 thousand MT; in 2017 - 102.8 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries importers of white sugar from Belarus were RUSSIA (82.49%) and UKRAINE (8.35%).
