RUSSIA
According to the operational data of Soyuzrossahar, as of May 13, 2019, 1103.6 thousand hectares of sugar beet were sown in the Russian Federation (97.8% of the forecast).

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in March 2019 Russia has imported 29.5 thousand tons of white sugar (HS code 170199). According to the results of 3 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 78.9 thousand tons (in 2018 - 70.4 thousand MT; in 2017 - 67.5 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (90.27%) and POLAND (4.77%).
In March 2019 Russia has exported 9.4 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 30.5 thousand tons (in 2018 - 170.3 thousand MT; in 2017 - 105.4 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2019, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (67.63%) and UKRAINE (18.97%).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 14, 2019, total 21 vessels have been nominated to carry 744994 MT of raw cane sugar in 2018-2019 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 717494 MT from 20 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data
UKRAINE
According to customs statistics, in April 2019, 32 thousand tons of sugar was exported from Ukraine, according to the balances of the Economic Debating Club (EDC).
BELARUS
According to Statkom of RB, the average consumer price for refined sugar was 1.52 Bel. rub / kg in April (46.44 rubles / kg at the average exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia for April 2019).
