RUSSIA
Prodimex Group of Companies will donate the site of the former Sadovsky sugar factory in the Anninsky District of the Voronezh Region (two industrial sites: 201 thousand square meters and 47 thousand square meters) to the district or regional authorities. The decision to close Sadovsky Sugar Factory - the oldest in the region - was taken by the Prodimex Group of Companies in December 2018 due to the unprofitability of the enterprise.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of April 23, 2019, Russia has sown sugar beet out on an area of 701.4 thousand hectares or 61.7% of the forecast area (in 2018 - 299.5 thousand hectares).
According to the operational data of Soyuzrossahar, as of April 23, 2019 total 726.8 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beet in the Russian Federation (64.4% of the forecast). In 2018, on same day – 299.6 thousand hectares.
UKRAINE
According to the figures by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, processed by Sugar.ru, Ukraine produced 3.5 thousand tons of sugar confectionery in March 2019 (+ 19.2% compared to the previous month and -43.8% compared to March 2018).
GEORGIA
According to the analysis of data by National Statistics Office of Georgia, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in March 2019 the import of sugar (white and raw) (HS code 1701) has made $1.1 million ($3.1 million in 2018). Totally in for January - March 2019 Georgia imported sugar (white and raw) for $3.8 million ($11.7 million in 2018). Export of sugar (white and raw) in January - March 2019 has made $362.0, total for 3 months 2019 - $362.0 (in 2018 - $106.8).
BELARUS
As Sugar.Ru was informed at the Ministry of Agricultural Production of the Republic of Belarus, as of April 24, 2019 Belarusian farmers sowed 85.1 thousand hectares of sugar beet, which is 88.7% of the plan (last year - 55.9 thousand hectares,%). In total, farmers of Belarus plan to sow in 2019 96.0 thousand hectares of sugar beet.
