According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of April 11, 2019, Russia has sown 230.2 thousand hectares with sugar beet or 20% of the forecast (in 2018 - 186.5 thousand hectares).

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in February 2019 Russia has exported 56.1 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 2 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 108.4 thousand tons (in 2018 - 124.4 thousand MT; in 2017 - 52.4 thousand MT). In the period January - February 2019, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (40.28%) and SPAIN (19.88%).

BELARUS
Belarusian farmers sowed 27 thousand hectares of sugar beet by April 12, 2019, which is 28.2% of the plan (last year - 0 thousand hectares), according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

According to Sugar.Ru railway monitoring data, Belarus exported 7.5 thousand tons of white sugar by transit by the Russian railway in March 2019. The main volume of 6.9 thousand tons went to Kazakhstan.
