RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on April 5, 2019, in Russia, sowing of sugar beet (factory) was carried out on an area of 115.1 thousand hectares or 10.1% of the forecast area (in 2018 - 15.8 thousand hectares).

According to the analysis of the FCS data conducted by Sugar.ru, in February 2019, Russia imported 23.0 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 2 months of 2019, the import of white sugar to the Russian Federation amounted to 49.3 thousand tons (+ 3.3% by 2018).

According to Sugar.Ru railway monitoring data, in March 2019, the Russian Federation exported 12.3 thousand tons of white sugar by rail, almost the entire volume was delivered to Kazakhstan.

UKRAINE
The largest Ukrainian sugar producer, Astarta shall not pay dividends for 2018, according to the draft decisions for voting at the annual meeting of shareholders. As previously reported, the net profit of Astarte for the nine months of 2018 decreased by 80% to EUR 14.5 million, consolidated revenues decreased by 27% to EUR 253.5 million amid falling sugar prices and lower sales volumes.

According to Sugar.Ru railway monitoring data, in March 2019, 11.8 thousand tons of Ukrainian white sugar was transited by Russian railway, about half of which (6.6 thousand tons) went to Azerbaijan. The remaining volume was divided between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

ARMENIA

BELARUS
Sugar.ru was told at the Ministry of Industrial Prospecting of Belarus, as of April 8, 2019, Belarusian farmers have seeded 9.58 thousand hectares of sugar beet, which is 9.98% of the plan (last year - 0 thousand hectares,%).
KAZAKHSTAN
In the Almaty region of Kazakhstan sugar beet crops will increase to 14 thousand hectares in 2019, which is 25% more than in 2018, according to the regional administration.
