RUSSIA
According to the annual report of the GC "Rusagro" for 2018, a total of 773 000 tons of sugar were produced during the year (984 000 tons in 2017). The average consumer price of sugar was RUR 30.6kg, excluding VAT.

Last week, the decline of wholesale sugar prices continued. The minimum price level reached 33.4/kg. From time to time, major players make attempts to send the market a message about price increases, the inconsistency of these players does not yet lead to growth. The closest psychological level of support is 33/kg, but so far it does not look like it will be broken through. Quite the contrary, prices have a chance to grow, in any case, high sales at the exchange at a price of about RUR 33.6/kg show the presence of demand and the willingness of customers to consider this level acceptable for further resale.

According to Sugar.Ru railway monitoring data, in the first half of March 2019, Russia imported 9.2 thousand tons of sugar, and as in previous periods it was sugar from Belarus and supplies of Radekhivsky sugar plant to Kaliningrad. Exports grew slightly, but still remained low, only 3.3 thousand tons of white sugar were exported to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan from the beginning of the month. From the beginning of March, 7.3 thousand tons of sugar shipped transit the territory of Russia: 4.6 thousand tons of Ukrainian and 2.7 thousand tons of Belarus sugar. The main recipients of transit sugar in March are Azerbaijan (3.4 thousand tons) and Kazakhstan (2.4 thousand tons)
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Bureau of national statistics of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in total in January 2019 were imported 37.36 thousand tons of sugar (129.19% compared to the same period in 2018). In 2018 were imported 28.92 thousand tons of sugar. In total in January 2019 were imported 1.13 thousand tons of molasses (147% compared to the same period in 2018). In 2018 were imported 765.60 tons of molasses.
UKRAINE
According to Statkom of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, wholesale price of sugar increased over the month by 0.78% in February 2019 and has made 14.13 UAH/kg (in previous month - 14.02 UAH/kg, in February 2018 - 15.47 UAH/kg). Russian rouble equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 3.29% in February 2019 and has made 34.70 RUB/kg (in previous month - 33.59 RUB/kg, in February 2018 - 33.45 RUB/kg). USD equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has increased over the month by 4.30% in February 2019 and has made 0.521 USD/kg (in previous month - 0.500 USD/kg, in February 2018 - 0.581 USD/kg).
