RUSSIA
According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in December 2018 Russia has imported 39.1 thousand tons of white sugar (HS code 170199). According to the results of 12 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 315.8 thousand tons (in 2017 - 249.9 thousand MT; in 2016 - 290.5 thousand MT). In the period January - December 2018, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (84.50%) and POLAND (12.03%).
In December 2018 Russia has exported 7.7 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 12 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 337.5 thousand tons (in 2017 - 514.1 thousand MT; in 2016 - 99.6 thousand MT). In the period January - December 2018, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (35.12%) and UZBEKISTAN (33.14%).
Kazakhstan
According to Statkom of Kazakhstan, the producer price of white sugar in January 2019 (excluding excises and VAT) increased by 10.27 % and amounted to 177859 Tenge/MT (in 2018 - 150581 Tenge/ MT), or RUR 31550.59/MT (at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation by the middle of the reporting month).
Ukraine
According to the analysis of data by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine for January 2019, conducted by Sugar.Ru, import of sugar (HS code 1701) has made 124 MT (63.0% compared to the same period in 2018), export - 41274 MT (54.0% compared to the same period in 2018).
