RUSSIA
Rosstat has adjusted the preliminary results of the sugar beet harvest in 2018, which amounted to 41.2 million tons compared to 51.9 million tons in 2017. This year, the yield of sugar beet decreased to 37.5 tons hectare from 44.2 MT/ha a year earlier.

According to Soyuzrossahar, as of December 21, total 36'453'371 tons of sugar beet have been processed by Russian sugar factories since the beginning of the season and 5.52 million tons of white sugar produced (in 2017 on the same date - 5.8 million tons). The average sucrose content in beet since the beginning of the season is 17.9%.
BELARUS
Sugar stocks with industrial enterprises amounted to 253.9 thousand tons on December 1, 2018, which is 48.3% more than it was as of November 1, 2018.
KAZAKHSTAN
The quota for duty-free import of 400,000 tons cane raw sugar into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2019 was approved.
