According to Sugar.ru price monitoring data for the period from 20.12.2018 to 27.12.2018 the US dollar rate increased by 2.6% (on 20.12 - RUR 67.11/$, on 27.12 - RUR 68.89/$). Ruble Moscow and Krasnodar wholesale prices for sugar have not changes staying at 38.50 RUR/kg and 36.80 RUR/kg respectfully. US dollar Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by $0.015 /kg (-2.61%), Krasnodar wholesale price dropped by $0.014 /kg (-2.55%).

Wholesale trade with sugar is busy preparing for the celebration of the New Year, which means it doesn’t bother to change – neither to grow, nor to decline. Lack of sales for a long time means deferred demand, so it is possible that in January we will see a local price increase, the likelihood of which will increase if large companies send the corresponding signal to the market.
The lack of relevant news is a good reason to draw up brief preliminary results of the year.
