RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossahar, as of September 10, 2018, total 187.5 thousand hectares of sugar beet crops were harvested (16.6% of the area sown). In 2017, total 221.6 thousand hectares were harvested on same date.

Soyuzrossahar lowered the forecast for sugar production from 6.2 million tons to 6 million tons in the 2018/19 season due to the weather conditions prevailing this year, the chairman of the board of the union Andrey Bodin said. Nevertheless, according to Soyuzrossahar, with domestic consumption of 5.8 million tons and supplies of 250,000 tons of Belarusian sugar, Russia still has a significant export potential in this season.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of September 11, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 207.3 thousand hectares or 18.4% of the area sown (in 2017 - 221.7 thousand hectares).

UKRAINE
Six thousand hectares or 2% of sugar beet crops were harvested as of September 11, 2018 with 266 thousand tons of sugar beet collected, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. The average yield of sugar beet is 46.6 MT/ha.

Mriya Farming PLC (UK) and SALIC UK Ltd (Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company, Great Britain) announced the conclusion of a contract for the sale of the majority of Mriya's agricultural assets. The new owner will receive all infrastructure facilities, technical facilities and transport, as well as companies that own the right to lease land bank. The value and terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to CEO Sergei Simony Chernyavsky, who will lead the new company, "the deal will allow Mriya to retain the team, as well as fulfill all obligations to partners, shareholders and communities."
BELARUS
By September 12, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 11.2 thousand hectares or 11.3% of the area sown (in 2017 - 9.75 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 463.1 thousand tons (in 2017 - 421.1 thousand tons) of beets were collected, with a yield of 41.33 MT/ha (in 2017 – 43.2 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 16.03% versus 15.2% for the same date last year.
