RUSSIA
According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in July 2018 Russia has imported 17.8 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 7 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 162.3 thousand tons (in 2017 - 168.9 thousand MT; in 2016 - 188.3 thousand MT). In the period January - July 2018, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (85.16%) and POLAND (10.18%).
In July 2018 Russia has exported 239.1 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 7 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 239.1 thousand tons (in 2017 - 223.6 thousand MT; in 2016 - 4.0 thousand MT). In the period January - July 2018, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were UZBEKISTAN (45.53%) and KAZAKHSTAN (25.10%).
BELARUS
The country plans to harvest over 5 mln MT of sugar beet, and the sucrose content of beet is at least 1% higher compared to previous season, according to the Deputy Minister of agriculture, Mr. Vladimir Garkun.
