BELARUS
According to the analysis of the data of the Federal Customs Service of Belarus, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in 4 months (January-April) of 2018, the import of sugar beet (HS 170112) amounted to 770.0 tons (28.50% compared to the same period in 2017), all volume imported from Russian Federation. Import of white sugar (HS 170199) – 19153.0 tons (146.40% against the same period in 2017) of which 15 thousand tons supplied by the Russian Federation, the rest – by Poland; export – 141 324.0 tons (96.70% against the same period of 2017), of which 79.3 thousand tons were delivered to Russia, and 22.5 thousand tons to Kazakhstan. Export of beet pulp (HS 230320) amounted to 9580.0 tons (216.90% against the same period in 2017), half of exports went to Lithuania.
UKRAINE
In May 2018 sugar price has decreased by 2% to make 14.83 UAH/kg in retail shops (about 36 rubles/kg), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports with reference to the State Statistics.
