Farmers in Cherkasy region has finished the sowing of sugar beets on an area of 15.4 thousand hectares, the regional administration reports

According to the analysis of figures by State Fiscal Service of Ukraine made by Sugar.Ru, sugar exports amounted to 205,900 tons in May, 2018. Since the beginning of the year (January-May 2018) the export of sugar has made 259,852 tons (387,973 tons in January-May 2017). The main importers of the Ukrainian sugar for 5 months was Uzbekistan (48% in monetary terms), Turkey (15%) (Great Britain 8%). In January-May 2018, Ukraine imported 15,515 tons of molasses (HS code 1703) and exported 19,510 tons.
