According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on May 15, 2018, sugar beet was sown on an area of 1034.5 thousand hectares or 94.4% of the forecast (in 2017 - 1.1 million hectares).
KAZAKHSTAN
As of May 15, 2018, total 19.4 thousand hectares of sugar beet were sown in Kazakhstan (88.7% of the plan - 21.8 thousand hectares), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs.
