RUSSIA
According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS, in March 2018 Russia has imported 22.8 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 70.7 thousand tons (in 2017 - 68.0 thousand MT; in 2016 - 81.2 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2018, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (87.64%) and POLAND (7.49%).
In March 2018 Russia has exported 170.8 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 3 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 170.8 thousand tons (in 2017 - 105.9 thousand MT; in 2016 - 1.0 thousand MT). In the period January - March 2018, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were UZBEKISTAN (62.34%) and KAZAKHSTAN (17.31%).

The first sugar refining line was launched at the Karachay-Cherkess sugar factory. It is planned to install and launch eight more such lines in total before August 15.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture data, as of May 11, 2018, sugar beet was sown on an area of 948.9 thousand hectares or 86.6% of the forecast (in 2017 - 1092.2 thousand hectares).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the National Statistical Committee, consumer prices for granulated sugar increased by 0.8%, in April 2018 and in the annual calculation (by April 2017) - by 14.7%.
UKRAINE
According to Gosstat, the average consumer price for sugar in Ukraine was 15.15 UAH / kg in April 2018 (35.69 rubles / kg at the current rate of the Central Bank).

By May 11, the sowing of sugar beet was performed on an area of 275,000 hectares, which is 92% of the forecast, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said.
