According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by May 10, 2018, sugar beet was sown on an area of 913.5 thousand hectares or 83.4% of the forecast (in 2017 - 1046.6 thousand hectares).

KAZAKHSTAN
According to Statkom of Kazakhstan, the wholesale price of white sugar in April 2018 increased by 1.07% and amounted to 189 Tenge/kg (in 2017 - 222 Tenge/kg, in 2016 - 206 Tenge/kg), or RUR 35.52/kg (at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation by the middle of the reporting month).
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the analysis of data by the Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, for April 2018 average consumer sugar prices were 46.46 KGS / kg (-0.88% compared to the previous month, -3.01% YTD and -14.59% by April 2017) or 41.54 rubles / kg at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the middle of the reporting month.
