RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of April 26, 2018, sugar beet was sown on an area of 401.1 thousand hectares or 36.6% to the forecast (in 2017 - 695.6 thousand hectares).

Consumer sugar prices increased by 1.5% in Russia from April 17 to April 23, 2018; and from the beginning of the year (by the end of December 2017) - by 3.0%, according to Rosstat.

KYRGYZSTAN

According to Statkom of Kyrgyzstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, sugar production decreased over the month by 99.57% in March 2018 and has made 12.2 tons (in the previous month - 2862.1 tons, in March 2017 - 11567.2 tons, in March 2016 - 26.0 tons). Total 19346 tons of sugar have been produced in January-March 2018 (in January-March 2017 - 31619 tons).

BELARUS

As of April 27, 2018, the Republic of Belarus has sown 74 thousand hectares with sugar beet, which makes 75.1% of the plan (in 2017 - 72.6 thousand hectares), according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
