RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sowing of sugar beet in Krasnodar region was executed at the area of 10.8 thousand hectares or 5.3% to the forecast as of April 3, 2018 (in 2017 - 97.0 thousand hectares). Rostov region has also started beet sugar sowing campaign with 0.1 thousand hectares planted as of report date.

According to the railway monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, Russia exported 27.2 thousand tons of white sugar by rail in March 2018, mainly – to Kazakhstan. Total exports of white sugar in 3 months of 2018 has made 164.8 thousand tons (in 2017 - 100.4 thousand tons).
KYRGYZSTAN
Gorodeysky Sugar Mill has finished in 2017 with a net loss of 26.75 million Belarusian rubles (787.07 million rubles). In 2016 the enterprise showed 8.4 million Belarusian rubles (247.15 million rubles) of net profit.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to Statkom, sugar prices from manufacturers increased 1.4% in Kazakhstan in March 2018, compared to the previous month and by 0.3% from the beginning of the year (by December 2017)
GEORGIA
According to the analysis of National Statistics Office of Georgia, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in February 2018 the import of sugar (HS code 1701) has made $3.2 million ($2.7 million in 2017). Totally in for January - February 2018 Georgia imported sugar for $8.7 million ($3.4 million in 2017).
Export of sugar in January - February 2018 has made $106.8, total for 2 months 2018 - $106.8 (in 2017 - $953.4).
