RUSSIA
According to Sugar.ru price monitoring data for the period from 15.02.2018 to 22.02.2018 the US dollar rate dropped by -1.6% (on 15.02 - RUR 57.59/$, on 22.02 - RUR 56.65/$). Ruble Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by 0.30 RUR/kg (-1.04%), Krasnodar wholesale price increased by 0.10 RUR/kg (+0.37%). US dollar Moscow wholesale price for sugar increased by $0.003 /kg (+0.60%), Krasnodar wholesale price increased by $0.009 /kg (+1.94%).
UKRAINE
According to Statkom of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, wholesale price of sugar from producers decreased over the month by 3.61% in January 2018 and has made 9893.6 UAH/MT (in the last month - 10263.6 UAH/MT, in January 2017 - 11565.0 UAH/MT). Russian rouble equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has decreased over the month by 10.84% in January 2018 and has made 19614.5 RUB/MT (in the last month - 21999.2 RUB/MT, in January 2017 - 24742.8 RUB/MT). USD equivalent price (at the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank for the middle of the reporting month) has decreased over the month by 7.52% in January 2018 and has made 346.5 USD/MT (in the last month - 374.7 USD/MT, in January 2017 - 416.8 USD/MT)
BELARUS
According to the analysis of the data of the FCS of Belarus, conducted by Sugar.Ru, during the 12 months of 2017 (January-December) the export of white sugar (HS code 170199) amounted to 407.0 thousand tons (115.80% compared to the same period in 2016). The main receivers of Belarusian sugar were Russia (221 thousand tons), Ukraine (38 thousand tons) and Kazakhstan (37 thousand tons). Imports of white sugar amounted to 65119.0 tons of which 62.8 thousand tons were delivered by Russia. Additionally, Belarus imported 13 thousand tons of beet sugar (HS code 170112), all from Russia. Imports of raw sugar in 2017 amounted to 146 thousand tons, mainly from Brazil and Cuba. Last year Belarus has exported 66199.0 tons of molasses (HS code 1703) (73.50% against the same period in 2016) and beet pulp (HS code 230320) - 71150.0 tons (120.10% against the same period.
