According to Sugar.ru price monitoring data for the period from 23.11.2017 to 30.11.2017 the US dollar rate dropped by -1,1% (on 23.11 - RUR 59,01/$, on 30.11 - RUR 58,33/$). Ruble Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by 0,40 RUR/kg (-1,45%), Krasnodar wholesale price dropped by 1,60 RUR/kg (-6,15%). US dollar Moscow wholesale price for sugar dropped by $0,001 /kg (-0,21%), Krasnodar wholesale price dropped by $0,023 /kg (-5,22%).

By the end of the week, wholesale prices for sugar continued to fall. There is no consolidated opinion on the further price movement among market participants, on Thursday a number of sellers suggested that we have come to a local minimum, the rest do not yet see the reason to stop the fall of prices. At the moment, the "working price" in the Krasnodar Territory is 24.00-24.50 rubles per kilogram, in the central part of Russia the prices from the factories are higher by an average of 1 ruble / kg. For large consumers, such as retail chains, the actual price (minus delivery, packaging, etc.) drops to 23.5 rubles per kilogram, or even lower.
Thanks to Uzbekistan, November 2017 set a record for export of sugar by rail from Russia. Total 50088 tons of sugar was exported in November (the peak month of last season, April 2017 - 49975 tons), of which Uzbekistan received 15.5 thousand tons of Russian sugar. Altogether, since the beginning of the season, Russia exported 110.5 thousand tons of white sugar by rail (57 thousand tons for 4 months of the previous season). Import of sugar, on the contrary, dropped sharply, in November Belarus shipped to Russia only 3.8 thousand tons, since the beginning of the season - 45.8 thousand tons (for 4 months of the previous season - 68.9 thousand tons ). This is good news, which can support prices in the market.
According to Soyuzrossahar, since the beginning of the season and by November 21, total 32.5 million tons of sugar beet was processed with 4.59 million tons of sugar produced, taking into account the desugarisation of molasses. Thus total harvest this season can reach 50-51 million tons of sugar beet, but not all of it can be processed, in addition, the yield of sugar from such beets will eventually fall. Forecast of total production in the season 2017/18. - 6.6-6.7 million tons.
UKRAINE
As of November 29, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 314 thousand hectares or 99% of vrop acreage (planned this season - 318 thousand hectares), 14.4 million tons of beets collected with an average yield of 46.0 MT/ha, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Chernigov region has completed the harvesting season. In Vinnytsia region, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 55.1 thousand hectares (95.9% of the forecast), with 2649.5 thousand tons collected at average yield of 48.05 MT/ha; 301.2 thousand tons of sugar were produced, the regional administration reported.
ARMENIA
In October 2017 Armenia imported 3,956.7 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS Code 1701) in the amount of $ 1983.88 thousand and 46 tons of other sugars (HS Code 1702) for $ 32 thousand, National Statistical Service of Armenia reported to Sugar.Ru.
