RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by 31 October 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 1.02 million hectares in the country or 86.8% of the crop area (in 2016 – 966.3 thousand hectares).

EEC
The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union remains at $ 240/MT in November 2017. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the ICE stock exchange was $ 313,69/MT in October 2017, respectively, the import duty in December 2017 will remain at the level - $ 240/MT.
BELARUS
As of 1 November, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 83,4 thousand hectares or 85,3% of the area sown (in 2016 - 82,5 thousand hectares), the Ministry of Agriculture of Belarus informs. Bulk harvest makes 4067,5 thousand MT (in 2016 - 3604 thousand MT) of beets, with an average yield of 487,6 MT/ha (in 2016 – 437,1 MT/ha).
