RUSSIA
As of October 30, 2017, the six Lipetsk regional sugar refineries have processed more than 2.4 million tons of beets with 344,000 tons of sugar produced, the regional administration informed.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on October 27, 2017, sugar beet as in the country was harvested from the area of 990.0 thousand hectares or 84.2% of total crop acreage (in 2016 - 882.0 thousand hectares).

Perelyshinsky sugar plant (owned by Prodimex GC, Voronezh region), following the modernization, has reached the DC on beet of 6 thousand tons, Andrey Tkachev, executive director of the plant, has told.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the analysis of Statkom of Kazakhstan, conducted by Sugar.Ru, production of sugar and molasses decreased by 42.19% in September 2017 and has made 15567.0 tons (in September 2016 - 27449.0 tons, in September 2015 - 48325.0 tons). Total 242182 tons of sugar and molasses have been produced since the beginning of 2017 (since the beginning of 2016 - 339290 tons).
UKRAINE
By October 25, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 213 thousand hectares or 67% of total crop acreage (planned – 318 thousand hectares); bulk harvest makes 9.3 million tons with an average yield of 43.5 MT/ha (in 2016 – 46.8 MT/ha). A volume of 7.6 million tons was delivered to processing facilities, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country reports.

According to the analysis of data by the Federal Customs Service of Ukraine, conducted by Sugar.Ru, in 8 months (January - August) 2017 export of white sugar (HS code 170199) made total 425 837 MT, in August only - 18 275 MT. Major importers of refined sugar from Ukraine are: Sri-Lanka (42 000 MT), Libya (37 000 MT), Turkey (34 000 MT) and Cote-d’Ivoire (34 000 MT).Export of other sugars (HS code 1702) made total 33 104 MT, in August only - 3 381 MT. The largest importer of other sugars from Ukraine is Russia (12 000 MT).
