RUSSIA

On October 9 the minimum wholesale price of sugar fell below the psychologically important level of 25 rubles per kilogram. Rusagro began offering sugar delivered by rail with 30 days delay or by self-export at 24.5 rubles per kilogram; Prodimex offers the same price for limited lots. In 2016 season, the minimum prices were in the range of 36.0-36.5 rubles per kilogram on September 9.

Consumer prices for granulated sugar in Russia declined by 9.9% in September 2017. In annual terms (by September 2016) - by 19.8%, according to Rosstat.

The countries of the EAEC intend to discuss in the near future the possibility of leveling the terms of sugar trade. Today, for example, a duty-free import of raw sugar is in force in Belarus and Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Agriculture reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on October 6, 2017, sugar beet in the country was harvested from an area of 640.8 thousand hectares or 54.4% of the crop acreage (in 2016 - 507.3 thousand hectares).

The Board of Directors of the Moscow Credit Bank approved a deal with JSC "Agroobedinenie "Kuban" (a part of the same name agricultural holding), to open a revolving credit line with a limit of 250 million rubles. The loan was granted for the replenishment of operating capital for a period of two years.

UKRAINE

As of October 6, a volume of 390.4 thousand tons of sugar was produced out of 2.94 million tons of sugar beet processed, 39 sugar plants are extracting juice, reports Ukrtsukor.
