RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 26, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 429,3 thousand hectares or 36,5% of total crop acreage in Russia (in 2016 – 353,5 thousand hectares).

UKRAINE

According to Ukrstat, as of September 20, 2017, the average consumer price of sugar in Ukraine was 16.13 UAH/kg (35.85 rubles/kg at the Central Bank exchange rate for the reporting day), which is 0.31% less than the price of the previous observation date 9 days ago. Over the year (since September 20, 2016) sugar has grown in price by 17.57%, in two years (since September 18, 2015) the price of sugar has increased by 37.39%. The highest prices are observed in the Lugansk region - 17.33 UAH/kg, the lowest - in the Sumy region, 15.50 UAH/kg.

According to Ukrstat, the production of sugar confectionery increased by 1.94% in August 2017 and amounted to 15.8 thousand tons (in August 2016 - 17.3 thousand tons). Total 116 thousand tons of sugar confectionery have been produced since the beginning of 2017 (since the beginning of 2016 - 121 thousand tons).

BELARUS

Stocks of sugar with industrial enterprises amounted to 17.8 thousand tons on September 1, 2017, which is 65% less than it was on August 1, 2017, Statkom reports.

MOLDOVA

The average yield of sugar beet in Moldova amounted to 32.5 tons from hectare, almost three tons more than a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Moldova.
