RUSSIA
By August 22, 2017, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 49.8 thousand hectares or 4.2% of the area sown (in 2016 - 46.0 thousand hectares). The harvesting of sugar beets started in Belgorod and Rostov regions, 2,500 tons and 6,400 tons were collected, respectively, the Ministry of Agriculture reports.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated August 23, 2017, total 18 vessels have been nominated to carry 642 020 MT of raw cane sugar in 2017 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 462 110 MT from 13 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, total 15.5 thousand tons of sugar confectionery was produced in July 2017 (+2.9% compared to the previous month and -9.6% vs. of July 2016). The production of sugar confectionery in January-July of 2017 amounted to 100 thousand tons (-3.6% vs. January-July 2016).
